| Dubai’s external temperature can reach up to 50 degrees Celsius (122 Fahrenheit), making the cooling requirements of Burj Dubai a critical task. Winters Contractor Gauges and Industrial Thermometers met the high standards of the building’s approval consultants, and will be used to help control the internal climate of Burj Dubai, where systems that give as much as 10,000 tons of cooling per hour are essential. Winters products will also be used in three external cooling plants that deliver chilled water to Burj Dubai and surrounding buildings. The gauges and thermometers will assure that the temperature inside Burj Dubai stays within appropriate tolerances, and that there is proper water flow in the building (an average of 946,000 liters of water per day will be passed through the tower’s water system). | Burj Dubai, 2007-08-09 Tee Meng/Wikipedia | |
